The R&S ultimate bootcamp really helped me to gain skills necessary for the actual lab test such as speed in searching the document and using short cuts in CLI. I took a Cisco CCIE Security lab exam prep class with Ramy in August 2007. He faced a smallish class of just 4 students, but we had a wide range of experience and needs, and he was able to juggle us all and give us useful feedback, brilliant direction, and supportive coaching to prepare us for this difficult IT certification test. I ended up failing that attempt (as I expected to, for timing reasons), but I thought so much of Ramy’s teaching that I went back to a more intensive course with him. I did pass CCIE Security just a couple of days ago, and some of the credit is due to my coach and mentor. I know little of Ramy’s outside consulting experience, but in his class exercises and lab examples he shows creativity, deep knowledge of protocol interactions and complexity, rapid insight into troubleshooting (a rarity these days in IT), and the flexibility to solve a problem in multiple ways.
